After I saw your post I looked into that particular watch and now I understand why you had to save up some money -- they are not cheap, coming in a little pricier than a new Submariner (if you could actually buy a new Submariner for MSRP).

Yeah, some serious moolah is needed for one 😀 I was however able to get a sizeable discount at the AD. The build quality really is superb. The brushing on the case is extremely good. I think a Sub look a little boring compared to the SeaQ 😀

Same as yesterday but switched to a black strap for the day. I noticed this morning how must this needs a new crystal, was planning on one anyway but a new crystal and a proper crown will clean it up nicely.

1959 Geneve. Tougher to find these in good condition than vintage pie pan Constellations. But worth the hunt. 😀

On another morning stroll in the hills near our home...

...the air in the San Fernando Valley was a goopy mixture of fog, smog, and fireworks smoke...

...some of the local fauna out and about, one of which is going to have a very bad day...

...another 5km walked and 305m ascended. By year's end I will have walked between 1,000km and 1,300km in these hills and gone through at least two pairs of sturdy hiking shoes.

My new to me Hafis for this morning.

Couldn't sleep so up earlier this morning, sunup's not for a couple more hours yet! certainly not gentleman's hours but this Hafis with its 50's or is it 60's charm makes me smile, case is far from perfect but with a new lens the dial looks wonderful, the more I look the more I like.

Yes, they are soooo ugly and creepy. Commonly called a Potato Bug, sometimes called a Jerusalem Cricket. Makes a mighty fine meal for a Tarantula, apparently.
