The green dial is fabulous!

Yes it is. Indoors out of direct sunlight it often looks black or very dark grey. And in direct sunlight outside the dial is a beautiful lush but matte green. The matte is a nice contrast to the polished white gold hour markers

Yes, I work with explosives in my job and when I saw video of the LAPD blast I immediately recognized a high-velocity, high energy explosive. Typical fireworks gunpowder does not combust nearly that fast.

After I saw your post I looked into that particular watch and now I understand why you had to save up some money -- they are not cheap, coming in a little pricier than a new Submariner (if you could actually buy a new Submariner for MSRP).

Twelve at night and the light outside is freaking awesome. Take notice on the kids playing b-ball, and far away in the background you can still see that there's some snow left on the mountains.
