Beloved 1970s Electro-funk, for Friday 😀

I spent 10 years at sea in the 80's / 90's, really appreciate the reason for these time pieces, I think I should look for one soon.

A little heart warming was in order after another long week on the insane roads. What more can one ask? A Guinness and a GMT...


I would also like to take advantage of this post to make a little PSA. As many here know, I've been driving a heavy truck for a living the past 3 1/2 years. Unfortunately, I've witnessed many horrible accidents, some fatal, involving trucks and cars. Most avoidable. Too many motorists behave badly around us big, slow and bulky trucks. Cars never win....with disastrous consequences. Our vehicles are 40 tons. They don't handle like a Ferrari and don't brake like a Porsche. Think.....

Good public service message. I think that most folks don’t even begin to realize how vulnerable they are in an accident at highway speeds. Steel safety cages, seatbelts and both active and passive safety systems have contributed greatly to reducing deaths and injuries - but they have their limits. And a 40 ton truck is one of them.
