In other news: Mondays are an alarming tread that roll around every week.

Was out of town for several days late last week and all weekend. Needed a handy alarm so just wore this one for the past few days.

1957 Bulova “23” today, powered by a cal. 10BPAC, which I believe was Bulova’s first movement both designed and produced in the U.S..
Very cool watch with lots of 1950’s design cues. Dial is neat. Love those “flying buttress-like” lugs. Design wise, it Might be too busy for some, but I’m a fan. Dibs.

The movement image with the detailed notes on the rotor rock. Thanks for opening that up for us.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong, but as I recall, someone on the MB indicated that this Bulova movement was made in the U S A. And that it was the only one ever so.

Dibs noted. Agreed, the design has a lot going on, not unlike the rolling sculpture rolling out of Detroit around the same time. I think I have a second copy of this watch squirreled away somewhere, but not in as nice condition. Cheers!
