That’s quite alright. For most of us, it’s somewhere between Tuesday morning and Monday afternoon. I think we’re all over the shock.
What do I do with thus? If I like it for the picture, it looks like I’m liking you having to deal with a short-lived bezel on a nice watch. I hope they repair and return it quickly.
Patek 5227R. A sliver of the kiddo playing in the background. Been gardening in the mornings (new for me, as I have fairly overwhelming bug phobias that I'm told "aren't very manly to admit" so I'm sharing with all of you. ) when the bees are minimal and the temps are nice and cool. The Patek does not see garden time, but it's about the only time in the day when I'm not wearing it.
Sorry to create the conflicting emotions. Doesn't change how feel about the watch, things break. At RSC now, they'll sort it.
Just back from my Watch Maker this afternoon its been there about a year waiting on new balance wheel and sundry bits to get it back in order. Unfortunately no parts were available here in NZ at all but eBay some times surprises you and I have been grinning since I found NOS parts for little money, all going now with new lens and seals. I can confidently say this watch will go another 60's years now barring accidents. When I bought this locally for not too much money they were likewise very cheap on eBay but looking a couple of weeks ago the price has more than quadrupled (actually more than 10 times what I paid for this) in the intervening time. Very happy with how it looks but will find a SS bracelet that matches it rather than the temporary leather I just put on.
New daily wearer. Swiss railways clock style. 36mm, quartz. I can see the time at half a glance. Very thin and comfortable.
