·Learned a lot from my first microbrand a few years ago. broken crown and no after-purchase service (no reply for purchasing of parts) from the brand. Still like the watch a lot though and wear it with the bent crown.

Seiko NH35 movement, correct? If you wanted to try an NH35 stem as a replacement it should only be a few $.

Yes NH35. My watchmaker suggested the same but I didn't want a mismatched non-bronze crown. The watchmaker tried to straighten the stem and it works but just unsightly, doesn't screw down well and wobbles.
