Finally, a family heirloom watch! While rummaging through some nick-nacks at my Mum's house I found this buried at the bottom of a box this past weekend. It was given to my late grandfather as a 25-year service award from the first company he worked for, in the mid-1950s. I have a vague recollection of him wearing this watch on formal occasions. It's extra meaningful to me because my grandfather was also a dear friend, and mentor throughout my youth and young adulthood. After some coaxing, I was able to get it running...not well, but running. I've already blown my 2021 servicing budget but this one is going to the shop today, anyway. Of course, the cost of even the most minimal service will exceed the watch's value. But this one is worth it. The Speidel Twist-O-Flex band is awesome, and fits like it was sized just for me
