The -76 back from it’s 8week trip to LA’s finest watch-spa. Refreshed and ready for another 5+ years of work
No doubt about it: IWC Portuguese feel really large even though 42.3mm and 14mm thick, Laureus Foundation special edition blue dial 5001-12, one of 1000 made.
Have you gotten tired of this one yet? I haven't! Just put it on a new Bulong chocolate espresso strap. . . Interesting how putting it on a gray suede strap grayed the dial a bit, but on a brown strap one sees the Champagne tint. A bit washed out in the sunlight . . . . . . and earlier, a bit out of the light? I need a haircut!
Seiko 6309 7040, an accomplice to a regrettable scalping of the fig trees earlier this afternoon. They are only coming out from the roots this spring so all the dead wood had to be cleared away. We're used to having lots of figs in summer and early fall, as much as 65 lbs. but not this year. There were about 10 days in the middle of February where the high temperature never reached 32F. A couple mornings saw 1F and with highs around 12F. Figs just can't cope with that kind of sustained cold which is not usual for winters in this part of Texas. Was a whopping 3F when this photo was taken on February 15th.
