Thought I'd do a re-post once I saw how crappy that photo was from last night!
I don't know much about this watch except that its probably 1940's ish and that it was my dad's watch with one of those expandable bands that'd rip every hair off your wrist if it got a chance.

Love the shade of green on this reissue. I previously had the black and red version but ended up moving it on. Would still prefer it was the original size of 41mm but despite that it does wear well and it's a keeper.

I know, I know....I woke up feeling blasphemous....this is actually a ref. 9937 I recently picked up for a friend who admired mine and asked that I keep an I out for one for him. My friend has been out of town since it arrived so I have been test driving it the last six days or so. It’s keeping very accurate time.

The ref. 9937 dates back several years and differs from more recent similar Invicta “Pro Diver” models in that it is powered by an ETA 2824-2 (rather than a Miyota or Seiko NH35A), has a sapphire crystal, drilled lugs, screw-in type “spring bars”, solid end links, and thicker links (4.2mm vs 3.4mm). The ref. 9937 doesn’t pop up for sale often, in my experience. For around $100 it’s a great value for a quality build, IMHO.
