After fifty five years in the fold it surely deserves a Saturday evening outing even with its' snazzy strap
For a change, today. Mid-1970s Omega quartz. Not a grail watch in the eyes of most collectors, but I kinda like it.
Looking at fixtures for a new house build....bathroom faucet handles use rare earth magnets to stay on the stem... learn something new every day. Thank goodness my moonphase speedy is anti-magnetic!
Spent a few hours today with a favourite field watch [1990 Royal Navy Issue] and a long lens, whilst exploring some local urban wildspace...
Thanks... it’s a great piece which is why it got a significant service investment. The nato is from Hodinkee. Dibs noted.
Thanks! Camera is a Canon 6D, paired with a Sigma 150-600mm telephoto. Today was the lens' first outing and I think it exceeded my expectations. The sky was mostly overcast today, and even though this lens will only open up to f6.3 when at 600mm I got sharp, well-illuminated images. But weight-wise it is a beast -- a monopod is a must, and my arm is a bit sore from lugging it around.
