Vintage watch shot with some new-to-me vintage glass. Maybe next time I should stop it down a bit to get great DOF?

Battery order came in today. Just did the Speedsonic...which had lasted 16 months on the old battery. Not bad.

Came right up humming! 😀

Tomorrow I tackle the Marine Chronometer...YaY!

One of my favorite vintage divers.

Wow!
So I know about the Val. 7733 chronograph thats a Heuer made for and branded by Sears and explained by Alister Gibbons in "Chasing Time".
Is this similar? And who's the manufacturer? Also Heuer?

I started a thread about it when I got it.

It was hard to pin down as the text along the bottom is similar to a few other makers but not definitive of who. Obviously without records from Sears as to where they ordered them we will never know. The thinking was possibly Orvin as they had a contract with Sears- but the build and parts on this one is better than any Orvin I have seen. The mystery will remain a mystery until somone can shed more light.

This morning’s post by @noelekal enticed me deeper down the Longines rabbit hole today.

I can certainly appreciate that one. 1934-35? that'd put it about 15 years older than the one I posted this morning with its 27M movement.

Hey...that's a nice thread.
Glad I asked.
