I was going to wear my 66 seamaster today but once again we got a little snow. Not much but I seem to be the only one at work who bothers to move it. So moved snow before I left, moved snow when I got here.

After about 3 weeks It’s officially official. The Herman Miller Aeron is all hype. The Steelcase Gesture is better. Fight me.

First day wearing this watch, the culmination of a multi-year search for a birth-year watch. This was an eBay find and I ended up paying a price that was closer to my bid limit than I would have liked. The watch has a 14k gold-filled case with an engraving on the back -- characteristics that I figured would be a turn-off for most prospective buyers. The seller's photos were appalling in quality, which made the purchase feel riskier than it needed to feel. But, the deed is done and the watch ended up being much more attractive in appearance than the eBay photos suggested. This watch runs on a Calibre 500, typical of that era for an Omega automatic.

I actually found this engraving to be a positive feature of the watch, adding some interesting provenance. And since this watch was found in the midst of a birth-year watch search, having that year engraved on the watch is pretty cool. Even the name "Jones" appears in the engraving! (but I'm not related to that particular Jones, to the best of my knowledge).

I won't be wearing this watch too much longer though, as it needs to get to the [watch] doctor ASAP. It's currently losing about 0.5 seconds per minute.
