Yeppers...Speedy Wednesday. Fellow former mil helo driver @ChuckMK23 showed up at the house with his new EX3 drone. He didn’t let me fly it because he’s a smart dude... ...AND for the record, that EX3 drone is pretty useless as a snowblower...
Vintage Lucien Piccard doesn't get much love here on the Forum and I've not worn this late 1950s example in over a year. It got off into a watch case I forgot about. Still, it features a decent A. Schild automatic movement and I like its solid white gold case which sort of compliments the deep freeze that's descending over the northern half of Texas. Some piffling snow flakes were falling as the photo was taken.
Recently my wife told me that she liked blue dialed watches on brown leather straps. I had been wanting a "cigar" colored Nato strap anyway, so this seemed like the perfect time. Well,it came today, so I put my Eterna on it. I don't intend to leave this watch on this strap long term, as I believe the metal hands make the watch too dressy. I intend to put the blue dialed Omega, with white plastic hands, which I believe make it more casual on this strap. But right now, it is at my watchmaker's getting a service and a new crystal. So, for now, this will have to do and I will find out later this evening if a blue dial watch on a brown leather strap makes me more attractive and irresistible. . Here is the watch I believe will eventually live on this strap.
Fortis Pilot Automatic, 1987, glas back. 40mm case. Bought it new in the 80s. My daily banger for many yrs. Now I prefer smaller watches! Don’t see many Fortis here...
