Not what I am wearing today but, rather, what Mrs. Allwoundup will be wearing later today....her birthday gift just back from WM cleaned and oiled, 1938 sport model...and, yes, Mrs. Allwoundup has a very petite wrist.

Oh yeah, sure. we've heard it all before.

The ol' watch mavens' variant of "Walked two miles-barefoot-in-the-snow- to- school- in- the -snow- uphill-both -ways" story. Life is so tough.

You did get some nice peaceful photos though.
Ha it was 3/4 of a mile I rounded up

If George Martin wore a MuDu while producing the Beatles and if I wear a MuDu while listening to them will I find hidden meaning in their music?

Your watch will need to operate counter clockwise to get it

Saturday morning in Tokyo,
sunshine and a cup of English tea.

Heuer Carrera Automatic,
1964 re-edition from the 1990s.
Bought it new, around 2000 ?!
Beautiful simple 3-hander
36mm
Long time not worn, looks like it just stopped yesterday...

Have a great weekend!

Back in the fold after a four year absence. A fellow member graciously agreed to sell it back to me. 馃憤

2777-1 also known as the '53. This one is the Bienne Thin Arrow. Radium dial and hands replaced by Omega with tritium in the 1990s.

It was 10 years ago today that I acquired my POLM LE!

I remember it well because it was the beginning of the big snow storm in the Chicago area that resulted in the pretty famous cars abandoned on Lake Shore Drive mess.

Luckily I wasn't in that part of it. I was in the suburbs running out to my local FedEx office to retrieve the watch. The heavy snow had started, but I got to FedEx without too much delay, maybe 20 minutes. Luckily they were still open and I got the package. The return home was where it got ugly. Over an hour and a half to do just a few miles. But I didn't care! I was enjoying the feeling of a shiny new watch on my wrist...a feeling I'm sure you all can relate to...YaY!

By the way, guess what today's weather is like? Behind the table is a full length lawn chair!

Great memory for a fantastic watch
