1972 24HR 788 movement. Getting the little grey cells working. Trying to recall if Omega had a 24HR function in any of their watches at this time.
hey @JwRosenthal - I highly respect your opinion and will do "whatever asked" ....... NOT! Fortunately, your "mind control" is powerless and my watch collection is safe.
After years of deliberation and waiting for the right time, I finally got a titanium 2231.50. It was totally worth it. This watch is massively underrated.
Looks really good since I think they wear already very light in steel this must be unbelievable light and smooth? And they don't go for much more than the steel versions, do they?
@Alex Cheers Thank you! I don't own a 2254.50 (the steel equivalent), but my brother does. The steel model is pretty light, yeah. The titanium one feels like a feather. It's awesome. I actually think the steel ones fetch more depending on the condition. I just did a quick WatchRecon search, and most of them have asks of $2400+. I got this for a couple hundred less than that, and IMHO I think it's a cooler watch. My buddy claims the bezel is extremely expensive to replace on this, though. I have a feeling Omega applies a nice little premium to titanium parts, so I am sure it won't be cheap to replace parts when it comes to that. That is probably the biggest downside.
