That looks interesting Lenny. Tell us more or is there a degree course in learning how to work it?

Image taken from the relojes-especiales forum.

As I understand it, the map rotates once per every 24 hours. The 2 o'clock crown rotates the numbered inner bezel. The gold star is supposed to mark a second time zone (because it is attached to the bezel).

This arrived today by post...

Other than an issue with the day of the week wheel its in great shape but nothing a service can't fix. These are a nice size and love the sparkle dial!

Cheers,
Ed

Today I am grateful for Swiss watches, German cars, and the serpentine stretch of fine American highway between Asheville and Chimney Rock. Buckle up, Buttercup.

Too bad we can not enjoy those German-made cars to their full potential on American-made highways as too many drivers tend to hang around, day dreaming on the left lane...... 馃榾

Nice! Is this watch new to you? Someone on ebay had 3 or 4 "collector-mint" condition of these watches for sale. I think the seller was in Israel?
Great watch...love these world timer styles.

Is that the Blue Ridge Parkway? If so; one of the top 2 or 3 roads in the world. It adds roughly 3+ extra hours of road time from Atlanta ----> NYC and worth every second.

I've purchased (2) cars from Atlanta just so I could drive home through those gorgeous Smoky Mountains. What a national treasure! The ONLY problem is needing a new set of tires when you get to the other end...lol

one of the best days of my life was riding shotgun in a slightly used M3 purchased by one of my dearest friends who was a US Secret Service Agent. He took full advantage of his "Master/shield" privileges that fine day. We were pulled over (3) times; each time clocked in triple digits. Some people might be judgmental about such things but I figure any guy who was willing to eat a bullet for Bill Clinton gets a pass...

i cant think of many sounds as pleasing to the ear as an m3 rev matching 8k rpm's pulling out of a corner in 3rd gear.

...been mostly wearing this one lately ,
not too shabby for 57 years old...

if not for this forum, I would never have bought this watch. From this very thread, I have refined my taste in wristwatches. Frankly, I was never a fan of chronos before I found this virtual window shopper .

Some of you heavy hitters have insanely nice collections.

74 runs that way thru Lake Lure. It is a very nice road too. If you are in NC, I would make the drive to the Dragon area. Hwy 129 and many other roads in west NC are very nice for both Bikes as well as Sports Cars.

BTY, Esmeralda's is worth a stop. I have been going there for years. Even when they served you on the front porch with the tilted floor. It was damaged by a flood and then fire years ago. Rebuilt, but still great.
