Oh, I could go pitch a fit and cause enough of a stink that they might suit me up ... or have me arrested. I was a long time director of the nursing home facility since long before I ever anticipated placing my own parents there. They are so short staffed though and overworked and truly concerned about the welfare of their residents and staff that I'm reluctant to fight them over their perhaps misguided efforts to protect the facility, residents, and staff. I live a mile from the facility and it galls me no end that my dad's alone and his family can't provide support.
This is a no win situation. We have a mishmash of conflicting rules, regulations and provisos, emanated from anyone and everyone, those in authority and those without authority, yet who still dictate how we are to restrict our activities. I'm both disgusted and heartsick over this situation arising for our family to have to face and over COVID and the national attitude and response to it.
