LOVE the socks! Wherever did you get them? Also, love the watch! Within one second per month, you say? WOW! You may remember that I told you that watch was close to mint when I repaired it for you.
My Sicura arrived this morning, so I took the only available strap(too small) and ran out. Looks ok, bought as it is so needs cleaning and service. But the case is pretty clean, the dial as well for some reason the crown is worn too much.
Why thank you sir.... it’s a 6602-8040... July 1968... my very poor picture does not do this dial justice.... it’s a super cool watch you can’t beat vintage on a budget...
Another new arrival coming from another fellow OF member... You will recognise it probably. I need a Go Fund Me page!
I had this -66 HF on a leather strap, but it just didn’t do anything for me. So, based on the recent threads discussing bands and bracelets for Speedmasters, I dug out an extra 1450 I had. Much better. Love these 1450s and wish there were more made. I know the bracelet is wrong for the -66 HF. So what?
Newest watch, . . . . . . . even newer strap on my wrist today. [photo and strap credit: Attila Aszodi]
Trundled one of the residents of the Home For Wayward Watches outside for some fresh air on a blustery, yet warm autumn afternoon in Texas.
Indeed. For those not familiar with this very British delicacy an explanation here...https://chronopedia.club/Marmite When I bought some here from a shop in the US my wife put it with the cleaning equipment under the sink!
