Blustery day on the North Sea coast. Same dog, same watch.

(Holiday sloppiness - never got round to changing the watch or the dog 馃槈)

This morning, Neo and I went to pick up a ring a local jewelry atelier. At the same time, check some necklace in preparation for Christmas 馃榾

Among the things I give thanks for is having more than one watch to wear. Thanksgiving Day in Canada, today. I pulled this artifact out of my archives. Haven鈥檛 shown it here before, as I recall. Seamaster Cosmic 2000 automatic in a gold shell over steel case. Calibre 1012 movement. I am the second owner, having acquired it about 25 years ago. It has always been an erratic performer, so I went through it today, and this is its trial run. This artifact is likely from the early to mid-1970s, an era when this style of coloured dial was fashionable for men. Is there another watch company who would design and produce such a weird case. To uncase it, you remove the crown (two-piece stem), then the whole thing is pressed out of the case ring, after which you separate the case components to access the movement. A case I have never particularly liked.
