Waltavia!? - One of the coolest watches from the 60’s that never was! - 1969 Waltham chrono -all lume indexes, hours bezel, Valjoux 7736 (custom vintage project). Lemonade from lemons - I did not create the watch, I purchased thinking it was original. I’ve since made it look the way I desire, since it was a “franken” to start.

Well, this 34.5 almost dwarfs my stick thin wrist :(

Guess I’ll have to keep punching extra holes in my standard size leather straps

(and don’t even ask how many links I have to remove to size a metal bracelet!)

Sporty Friday with the Garmin, use the bike computer mostly, so this one seats a lot.

Some Longines gold, complete with Arabic numeral markers to brighten a murky foggy Friday here in Texas.

New shirt to match a new-to-me watch. Anyone else feel the need to buy attire to match new watch aquisitions?

This has become my daily watch. I like that the bezel allows me to time things (I cook, for example, and it’s nice to know how much longer the clothes dryer will run...) without running a chronograph.

I apologize that the hands block the top of the dial. It’s just what time it was.

Here’s a gratuitous old photo. 6928B93E-D645-4639-95FD-D0787B592A62.jpeg For the record, the old photo has a beveled Rolex service crystal and, in today’s photo, it’s a Truedome.
