A little end of weekend beach time from yesterday afternoon:

Back to work today, and going in a completely different direction watch-wise:

Please, never hesitate to post what you're wearing! There will always be watches that are more popular, more expensive, more sought after, more blingy, more "whatever" than what you own or what you're wearing. The important thing is that something motivated YOU to wear a particular watch today, so just be YOU and share your joy with the rest of us. There is a 99.9% probability that I will like what you're wearing 😀
Well said sir.... One of the many great things about this forum is that there is no Watch snobbery here for sure...

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

<sniff>

Heh heh, good one. I have actually "liked" a few modern Invicta watches on this forum in the past - not because I found them appealing, but because I could sense genuine pride of ownership. Often, what I like most about a watch is how it seems to make its owner feel. 😀

On a week’s holiday in Suffolk and only brought three watches 😕

I misread as "bought three watches" and thought "in Woodbridge. Where?"

I was going to post what I'm wearing but after seeing this and all the other cool stuff posted today I don't want to play anymore!

Humph!
I get like that to but they seem to accept us low brow people show what you have with pride, regardless of what it is

Earlier this season my boat's speedometer sensor broke....

...and last week I installed a new one

Today was test day! Slap on the 6309-7040 that's only 2 years younger than the whole rig from 1979, drop the boat, and out we go.

Result: Working speedometer again...woohoo!!!

Nobody has said anything to me about my Casio, Seiko Sports 5, or Vostok Komandirskie. If watches that cost < $150 new don’t bring out the snobs, they’re at least under control. There’s a great Urban Gentry video about watch snobbery.

I agree and will add something I read somewhere:
"I wear a watch for my own enjoyment!"
1) Entertainment
2) Impressive technical details that I can look at and think......
“Whoa, how did they do that?”
3) a bit of jewelry.

It applies to all my watches, from timex, to Citizen, to Omega and even my $50 Dakota radio controlled!
Happy to see such a vast variety of amazing time pieces.
