Sometimes when this happens all I see are the sub dials are making a surprised face back at me.

Sometimes when this happens all I see are the sub dials are making a surprised face back at me.

That’s precisely why the hesalite version is the way to go. It plays with the light and the dial in ways that the sapphire version just can’t match.

Circa 1959 Abercrombie & Fitch Solunar on vintage JB Champion bracelet. Heuer-sourced AF 90.1 movement.
The colourful subdial shows the high and low tides, informing the avid fisherman the optimal times to catch fish.
