·We’re headed out camping with friends for a few days. My watch of choice is a 65-year old Omega calibre 351, “bumper” automatic. This one came to me as almost a basket case, and I have replaced the case, dial, crown (yeah, I know it is incorrect), crystal, mainspring, gasket, and conditioned it (again, just last week). This dial is by no means perfect, but it is a whole lot better than the original. It is a “survivor”, and it has proven to be able to last, although it is not my intention to try to destroy it.
