2005 military Issue with a busy day ahead, our own @STANDY has always been concerned at the state of this bench, most of the paint now removed with hopefully the rest today followed by sanding and oiling 😀

Was concern for a young beagle that was sleeping on it many years ago.

Polished cases are normally not my thing, but for solid gold cases, exceptions can be made! 😀

Attention @capt-dim...I have some questions, sir...did you wear the same shirt three days in a row? I noticed that you were wearing “shirt alpha” on Wednesday as well as today [Friday]. Did you wear “shirt alpha” on Thursday as well? I can’t determine this because in your Seiko SRP pics from Thursday, you’re wearing a jacket. Anyway, if you wore “shirt alpha” three days in a row, you must be commended. 👍

From Wednesday...

From today [Friday]...

@Mad Dog , thanks for taking over from Joan as Fashion Police. You may actually be funnier than she was (wife was a big fan). @capt-dim , it’s ok. It worked for Fonzie!

It’s a 6240 transitional from pump to the earliest pre-oyster MK 0 brass screw down pushers. Very rare (much rarer than newmans) and narrow serial range (1966,1967) from what I know. Most original dials are either “big Daytona” or a “small Daytona.” This one is the small Daytona variant

ah, understood!! in fact, it was a very particular dial... as i said, I've never seen one like that one before!! Thank you very much for the explanation.
