Almost dark with low light for making a photo of today's watch choice, a gold '54 Longines with 19AS movement with a looming amaryllis.

Another week home working in my shed beckons. A bit cooler today so I may need to light the stove. For now coffee will keep me warm. Have a good day all.

This one is from yesterday but I couldn’t post due to lack of internet access😡
I spent the afternoon changing the straps on a few watches and this is one of them. Not perfect but it wasn’t when it left the factory😉

and the creeper for today, also sporting different boots. The wet season has finally started which explains the tiny drop of water on the crystal. Welcome change from the last three weeks or more of temps of 37C.

Had this SKX007 for about 10 years - bought in the days when Seiko could line things up properly!

I wondered why I was having such a devilish time doing the fine adjusting on this a Waltham, on the 25th, and why it was 12 seconds slow this morning. After all, this is to be the subject of a long term test for accuracy. Well, I took another look at it today (26th), and discovered that one of the regulator curb pins was loose! As loose as a grade twoers incisor tooth! So today, it was back to square 1 regarding final adjusting. I am happy with the result, so now the accuracy test starts in earnest.

After reconditioning the Vanguard, and an initially disappointing test over 24 hours (a 12 second loss), I took another look at the movement, and discovered a loose regulator curb pin! I tightened the curb pin, and had to re-do all the intricate adjustments I did two days ago. Checked this morning. Dead on after 20 hours. Quite pleased.
