This one today, and for a long term test. My mid-1950s, grade 1623 (1952, one of approx 50,000 made, this one from the second last run of 15,000) 23-jewel Waltham Vanguard which may have had one year of use in its 68 years of existence. I am the third owner, and I have used it rarely, and I doubt that either of the first two owners used it at all. I serviced it on April 25, so this is the beginning of a long term test as I await the arrival of my new one piece “mystery braid” leather pocket watch lanyard being made by @DaveK . Dave may show a picture of his handiwork.

Universal Geneve Ferrovie dello Stato (Italian State Railway) watch for this sunny Saturday.

Why can't I find one for me? Not fair 🫨

I have to settle for this. One of my very favorites .

Shorter run on a drizzly, wet, and windy Sunday morning in the park. One benefit of the weather was that it made social distancing on the jogging trails even easier today.

Solidarity at Home: Day 039

Wearing something kind of Bond-y today. Honey approves.
