·A good chance to wear some WWII time. Hamilton USMC issued 37102. Cal 2987. These are great watches, but the pivots on the balance staffs are terribly fragile. Tough to imagine them in combat.

Where and when did you go to the AWCI class?
It sounds like you did NOT get ridiculously frustrated like I did...which is good. 😁
My built at AWCI ETA 6497-1 says “Hello!” and “Phlieger Phriday!”...

It was EXCEEDINGLY FRUSTRATING, but I loved every minute of it and my watchmaker, who is awesome, was one of the instructors so it was a GREAT DAY!
