Cosmic in the sun. I know it's neither Thursday or the 11th, I was too lazy to set the date today...

Been timing our twice-daily socially distant neighborhood walks so my son can log it for “gym class”

Second “walk”; they’re on wheels and I wanted to change straps for nice weather so Speedy’s on the Kizzi

You had better be careful or you'll be sorry!

You'll end up like me, half deaf from too much loud Rock 'n Roll, on the stereo in my bedroom when I was young, with the speakers on either side of my bed as I lay in it, loud headphones after my parents told me to turn it down, even louder volume once I moved away from home, loud in the ol' convertible with the top down, loud right up to the present. And all of that punctuated by attending concerts by the Who, ZZ Top, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and other acts associated with mountains of amps cranked to Armageddon volume. And then there's the gunfire of my youth when we shot and shot and shot with nary an ear plug or ear muff to dampen the reports for we were ignorant bumpkins who had never heard of ear protection. So, it's 40 + years hence and we never hear any more.

Huh?

You say sumpin’?

🙄

Ditto!

Fifty years ago today I was at Brands Hatch for the BOAC 500. Jim Clark was originally due to drive there that day, but went instead to Hockenheim to race an F2 Lotus. IMHO the greatest. I’ll always remember that day at Brands when the news filtered through.
I was fortunate enough to see him racing a few times.

I

This is the Speedy I was wearing that day, I had been given it for my birthday three months before and I remember avidly using the stopwatch for timings.

And then pulled this one out. The 60th is a beautiful piece of work. Truly.
