Sorry for the delay in answering: yep, a Jumbo bumper from around 1949, cal 332 in a 2482 case. RG plated case and furniture, 37.5 x 44.5 mm, not including crown-lovely size in a vintage. Original everything on this guy...ok, the strap is new. I thank my good enabler X350 XJR for this not so little beauty!
Arrived yesterday from a fellow forum member. Great guy to deal with and true gentleman. 145-022.68 transitional. Came with bracelet and original case back as well.
Thank you, it´s one of my favourites too! It is a bumper cal. 352 dating from 1950 IIRC. Being French cased it does not have a reference number only a case number and the eagles head hallmarks for 18kt. Although not signed Seamaster on the dial it definitely has Seamaster DNA running all the way through it with a great similarity to the Swiss cased ref 2520 as can be seen here. (pic Bill Sohne) Here is a great post on the subject of cal 352 Seamasters with lots of good reference pictures from Purists http://omega.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-677/pi-3123906/ti-516451/s-0/
Speedking (ref. 6020) today. Needless to say, from a time when acceptable watch sizes were much different than they are today.
Great macro - it really illustrates the quality of design and construction in the dial furniture. All I'd ask for is modern gilt waffles. Conor
