New deck built! Doing my part for the economy, while keeping social distance. 1955 Breitling Navitimer (Venus 178) Gardeners and deck builders have the luxury of working outside and easily avoiding us and others.
When I found this Seiko in an antique shop a few weeks ago, I admitted to only paying $5 for it. I like it so much I wore this brown shirt today, just to match the chocolate dial of the watch. Which got me to thinking.....chocolate dial, hmmmm.....other chocolate dial watches are very desirable and sought after. Thereby driving up their value. This watch must therefore be very valuable. Probably worth 5 figures or more, but if someone wants to call "Dibs", I am a reasonable man and will probably be willing to part with it for a 4 figure offer starting with 9. .
house work day... this looks pretty good along side the toilet brush! itty bitty "several jewel" Swiss cylinder escapement in a silver case, late 1800s, its a cheap piece of shit (always was) but its pretty.
Ok, so still wearing the Speedy, but admiring the case back of my new-ish Laco...all this in door confinement is teaching me to pay more attention to the details
The Lady Banks rose is blooming in profusion this week. The "yard watch" beater on the job this afternoon.
