After wearing my my new Rolex Explorer and the usual Black Bay GMT a bunch the last week or so, I am back with my SMP300 two days in a row. I forget just how much I like wearing this watch: the proportions, case shape, and that date window.
Back to a late 1960s favourite. Bloody awkward bracelet, and not the most comfortable, but it came with the watch. Bought at an estate sale. I made a standing offer on the watch before the sale started, on the understanding that if the attendees wouldn’t best my offer, I was good for it. Considering what I read that some people pay for vintage watches, I did okay at $50.00 (Cdn.) I think. Needed work, but not a problem. Thank heavens I had a parts watch because these are next to impossible to find parts for!
My first chronograph after years of resisting. How many times have I checked my pulse today? Too many!
Many thanks, I’m sure it’s just a heavy cold and cough but of course without testing I’ll never know.
Working from home for the foreseeable future. Following the suggestions to keep to a routine, I picked a watch to wear from my dining room command center.
