·On my wedding day, my (then nearly) wife gifted me this.
She doesn’t understand my hobby really, but knew vaguely that I wanted a “Steve McQueen Heuer watch” - so unbeknownst to me she had gone to an AD, relayed that equally vague message, and came away with this.
It was at the time the most expensive thing she had ever purchased.
Obviously a beloved watch for its sentimental value, which at the end of the day makes watches special. And it was that type of day today, given the goings on in the world...
