Cold and rainy day at the VA today...wore my U.S. mil issued Breitling [circa 1952] from @Darlinboy...
Never posted this. Simple watch, 1940’s bulova. I think it’s worth about a hundred bucks and I had to replace the movement which was 100 bucks. It was my grandfathers. Always meant a lot to me, probably more so than all my other watches. No natural daylight now but you get the point. Always liked the dial as well. you
Thanks @Felice79! Cool pic of yours! Mine is a ‘70 step nose, so very close to your ‘69 junior! What’s your colour? Drive tastefully!
Took the "handsome dog" mongrel of a Seamaster with a 520 movement and a re-do with "that" dial for a ride in the old Dodge pickup today.
Bought this for parts as not running with no stem chrono not working. Crystal badly scratched. Half the stem was in the movement. After removing it and putting in another, cleaning up the pushers and winding it, all functions work and keeping great time. And the dial is pristine. So I have no choice but to keep it. These old Seikos are VERY robust movements. That's probably not news to many of you.
