Picture taken on Thursday, but on my wrist today. Before and after. After a transplant, my 1929 Longines calibre 12.92. Made one watch out of two. White gold filled case shows wear, but decent for a 90 year old watch.

Here's some low-hanging fruit. In recent years, I find myself buying a lot more of these watches. It's enjoyable, they are excellent time pieces, they have much variety, and I just like the way they look. And the other reason, of course, is that Speedmasters are great if you already own them, but buying the old ones now is a very rare t treat. And I much prefer imperfect watches, honestly.

I must say, I've never seen somebody post a demeaning comment on a watch shown in a WRUW. Any watch. For my part, I will 'like' a watch for the caption. Of course, rare pieces in outstanding condition merit a round of applause. So I doubt people chuckle at your Waltham. And even if they did, would would never know about it. So who cares? Wear in the best of health!
Well that was my point. No one here ever does. I see it happen at other watch forums on occasion

Time for a change while staying warm in the blizzard.

...and speaking of blizzard, here's my car. Parked for a while it seems! 😁

...and my colleague's truck. Fortunately unscathed. But a very close call...😲

Managed to get a Friday off, so I'm out thrifting. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a Daytona hiding under an old couch cushion.
