Spent the last three years repairing this 1951 or 1952 Eterna Matic. My father-in-law in the 1960s jumped into the Russian River to save one of his sons while wearing this. Totally destroyed the movement with rust. Took me a long time to get things sorted out. Few movement pieces replaced and now it's running flawlessly.

WAIT! I see a string. He's not REALLY flying.

It takes a special sort of man to have a doll on a string 😉

The Speedmaster broad arrow replica above, I believe 3594 ref is under appreciated. It's a great-looking watch, and affordable.

Temperature's beginning to drop through the afternoon and cloud cover's thickening here in West Central Texas on a Speedy Tuesday afternoon. Today's forecast high was missed horribly, supposedly 61F and actually 41F. Forecast is for snow and highs remaining below freezing for the next 48 hours. We'll revisit these photo spots tomorrow to see if there's snow, something which seldom occurs here and even more seldom sticks.

Meanwhile the daffodils are in bloom, my favorite flower and fragrance.

Same watch better photo. I love this dial, but it’s not the most sensible for actually telling time.
