Wasn't it a 24h watch originally? Swapped hour wheel (and dial)?

Deafboy, yes, it was converted from 24 to 12 at some point. The case back has the mil specs. It was probably a GCT.

Every time I see the name "Born" (mit umlaut O) I think of Bjorn Borg. I'm sure it's because I'm a yank living in my little Ameri-centric world.

They are lovely watches. Yours has nice features over the 992B: hacking seconds and pendant set.
