I am wearing this one today, it almost gets no wrist time but maybe once a decade ( literally) it gets to see the sunlight.

It was my Fathers watch and he almost never wore it and when he passed away in 1980 it went to me where other than a full service back in 1990 it never got worn. Since that time its been worn maybe 4 or 5 days total, main reason being I hate leather straps and putting on and doing up buckles is a chore to me and the previous expander bracelet wasnt (like all) secure as it would have likely flown off my wrist. 😁

Essentially its a new watch, though I changed out the metal expander bracelet that had graced ( disgraced it) it for the last 40 plus years at the beginning of last year with an Omega leather one but unfortunately until I can get a period Omega rice grain or similar metal strap its unlikely to see much sunlight except for days like today where I will wear it in remembrance of my Father.

Until you can locate a genuine beads of rice bracelet you might consider an aftermarket BOR from etsy.com

There are aftermarket BOR bracelets for sale on etsy.com if that helps . Good quality for the money .

Running low on 'Brownie Points' so an afternoon of chores with the 2005 G10, suspect I gave it more action than it ever saw in service 😀

Now enjoying some r&r

My avatar. Finding the exact variation worn by Bill Pogue is more challenging (and costly) than one might expect.

Going Russian today, seemed appropriate as I am reading Footfall a sci-fi novel which the Soviet Republic features heavily.

My 40’s Buren , a nice example of a simple Venus 170 of that era. ...I like the shimmering silver dial contrasting the reds and blues- offset with the blued hands ... sublime!

Changed strap for this 6066 for my wife this evening. Going from black to brown transforms it. What a beautiful thing....
