Wearing the lucky 9411 I strapped on in the fourth quarter of the Big 12 Championship right before the comeback victory 😁 @Buck2466 👍

Booooomer! I hope we show up and play well! Have a blast! I envy you right now!

Haven’t worn this one for a while. What you see is the result of a significant salvage operation. To save everyone the trouble, the crown is not Omega. Nor is the crystal. The case this survivor came in was a totalled gold filled case which was beyond saving. The dial, likewise. But the caliber 351 bumper automatic (circa early 1950s) was all there, and in decent shape. The dial I found in my stash, along with the steel Omega case, and the hour hand. I had to fabricate a dog’s leg case clamp, replace the mainspring, service the movement, and put it all together. A fussy collector might turn away from this watch, but maybe I’m not so fussy. Dam, it is a good performer! Not a lot of these around that are pristine, and at an affordable price. I bartered for this one. I got it from a fellow who had three ladie’s watches he wanted serviced, to give as gifts. I did those for him, and the watch was mine. Watches in the condition this one was in when I received it, might often end up in a parts bin because of the price one might have to pay to rescue it. Had I not had what I needed, and had I not been unable to do the work myself, it would not have been worth it. Sweat equity,

Vixa Type 20 issued to French Air Force. I think this is my favorite of all type 20s given the bezel, case, hands and dial are just perfect.

Trying this FP Journe chronometre souverain on! Maybe one day? Very interesting and unique look, probably not the most versatile colour though... Looks great with the tan alligator strap but not sure it would work with many other colours

Gee, a prototype?

No, merely an apocryphal Speedmaster for which I am to blame.

Oh, the shame! 😟

It’s the only post 1980, non LE Speedmaster I own, and look what I did to the poor thing! Well, I love it anyway. How does an 861 compete with a box of 321s? It puts on a pretty face. 😀

Maybe I should put a 321 in it? 😗

It is awesome, congrats for a job well done!
