I prefer the rust outside the watch as well. Came across this and thought - maybe more than a bit of lubrication needed here. I wouldn't mind picking up a 13-20 and I'm willing to consider a bit of wear, but I think that this might not be for me. Conor

I'd get that serviced, the oils will have dried up and you'll risk damage if you continue to wind and wear it.

On sale on Ebay - definitely an optimistic seller. The running seconds hand was loose under the crystal, and I think that the pinion had rusted right through.

5402 back on the wrist today. Been wearing manual-winding watches so much recently, the instinctive urge to hand-wind it is hard to resist.
