My (almost) 50-year old Rolex Air King Oyster Date. One owner. I won this in a Rolex sales contest. Had I known what was going to happen to Rolex prices way back then, I would have kept the hang tag. The MSRP back then was $215.00! A close look might give the impression there is lint under the crystal. It’s not lint. The lacquer top coat has begun to peel. I have it set one day ahead, but since November has 30 days, the date will be correct on Sunday. (Oh! That is an after market bracelet. I let our son wear this watch when he was 9 years old. He destroyed the bracelet and nearly destroyed the watch in less than one year.)
Seiko Saturday with the newly arrived Prospex SBDC065 "Great Blue Hole" JDM special edition! Really loving how the dial presents in different light. In the morning light today... And yesterday in the afternoon... Enjoying it on an Uncle Seiko rubber tropic strap until I can get the bracelet sized next week.
I am just sick of the darkness here in Sweden at this time of year. I use this watch today but the picture is from happier days (summer)...
Finally found time to save the lugs by removing the knackered old flex bracelet and swapping in a simple brown strap
