Returned from a few days on the road this afternoon.

Having had my PO on the wrist all week, I got to missing my Speedy. Changed watches to go out and grab dinner with the family.

For anyone with a baby, I’ve found Maratac’s Mil Spec bands—one piece of nylon with a really nicely machined buckle—are the best baby-holding option. They don’t get caught on blankets and swaddles, and are comfy when trapped under a baby for hours haha.

Also they’re more streamlined than a NATO. Song of my summer, picked up a bunch of em for all my go-tos. Pictured on my ‘96 Seamaster, my first nice watch, which I’ve owned since new.

Have a great weekend!

New Friend

Your new friend says her strap is too small. She doesn't like showing off her springbars. 😀 Beautiful watch though, looks good. 👍

It's summertime!

Summertime when the bracelet goes back on the Speedy.

Been gone to Quebec for eight days so rigged the Speedmaster for summertime wear. Not really needed in Canada, but pretty handy back here in Texas where it was 102F yesterday on our first day back home.

Rented a Volvo S60 for the trip. It was ok. I don't know if I'm "washing or hanging out to dry" as we only bought a new car a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't "broken in" to driving either one. Both felt unfamiliar.

Was a pleasant drive journeying from Trois-Rivières to Saguenay on a different route from the usual taken.

Is that Chateau Frontenac? My family and I stayed there a few years back. We spend a week there before the kids went off to college. What an amazing place!
