Please be witnesses to my adding the Seamaster Regatta Soccer Timer to my box of chronographs from the late 60s and 70s.

Or as I like to call it...Crazy Chrono Corner. 😵‍💫

YaY!
I'm saving a few pics for personal coveting times. Is mass dibs allowed? That is an amazing collection.

Began the day with another choice, but switched to this 1944 vintage Omega for obvious reasons.

Spending an afternoon hour contemplating the world since June 6, 1944, reminiscing about a family trip to Normandy in June of 1997, and considering all the "water under the bridge" since both occasions.

Older photographs. All items in the photograph have one thing in common in that they were produced in 1944. The 1911A1 pistol was manufactured in January of that year, the M1 rifle in June of that year.

Just can’t get enough of my recently purchased 1964 “Echo Whiskey”...so...Speedy Thursday! 👍

Also, because of my recent ridiculous obsession to keep the clasp on the 7912 bracelet from getting scuffed...I fabricated a clasp protector from an existing new case back protector...so we’ll see how long the fabricated clasp protector lasts/stays on...had to give it the old college try...

I'm seeing some very pointy things (legs, I presume) on top of the guac. What are you eating there specially?
This are Chapulines (grasshoppers) I think it`s the correct translation but I`m not sure I apologize and maguey worms in butter, are traditional dishes in Mexico and only seasonally...

My great grandmother used to do the SAME thing with her floral sofa. Have you considered covering the rest of the case and bracelet with plastic? 😲 Actually, it's a good idea and looks fine. It's nice to see one of that value being worn regularly. In the early 2000s I wore a 2915-1 regularly until values changed. That Echo Whiskey is definitely one of the prettiest I've seen. The first two 105.003s I bought in the late 90s were pretty rough, but I loved them anyway. They are still around and cleaned up pretty well. Back then you could buy a rough one for 1000 or 1500 and not feel too bad about it. Most came with bracelets that I sold for about 100. 🤦 (and thought I was doing great)
