Hamilton 14K Dunkirk today. I believe that this was Hamilton's first watch offered with factory black dial. The Lexington and Seckron were soon to follow. It's surprisingly hard to find a superior example of this watch. They are scarce, to be sure (cost $125 in 1938), but the original owners tended to love them "too well".
Love this world timer chrono. It makes me want to set out immediately for Fidji by way of Havai. Please add me to the dibs list.
Always wondered whether that is some kind of Swiss pronunciation thing? Or how it never got corrected on subsequent dial printings. Tokio as well. Maybe it's phonetic?
Just saw this model at the Breguet boutique at Bal Harbour. Freakin' awesome! If Qbert owned a watch, it would be that one.
