This is a watch brand I know absolutely Zenzilch about...but I would love to learn more. Particularly about this model 🥰

I'll bet you know more than you think, having endured my nonsense and LouS's treatises and the pearls cast forth by the various other Zenophiles here. Everything you need to know to know just enough to be dangerous is here, and in the stickies at the WUS Zenith forum, and in Zen's work at the Zenith forum at forumamontres, and in the posts of Nicola1960 (il Papa degli Zenitisti) at O&P, and in Rössler's book.
As LouS notes, this model, the A3818, is on the cover of Rössler's book and is in the same league of desirability as the A386, the A3817, the Cairelli, and Kate Upton.

Senseo or Nespresso.....
What are you, some sort of freelance barista?
We love our Pixie. Consistent cup after cup for two years.
We now leave the thread hijack behind and return to our regularly scheduled WRUW...

It's a cult! Run! 😉
I have the book too. It falls open to the El Primero section all by itself, but so far the binding is holding up.
I sensed the addiction consuming me, and went cold turkey before my soul was lost. I still really miss my Movado Datachron with the brown dial and original bracelet (and El Primero 17J movement). Sold it when I thought I wanted something else. Bet that hasn't happened to anyone here...😀

I can attest to that. Within 3 min of handling Gavin's A386 and 3818 at the GTG, I felt the Zenith tendrils wrap themselves gently but surely around my helpless mind, resulting in an irrational desire to own one. View, but at all costs, DO NOT TOUCH.

You are so right. Stay strong and continue to resist that urge to snap up any choice examples of those addictive Zenith references that might appear on the 'bay in the wee hours before Americans wake up. And encourage Gavin to do the same. There's still hope for him, if he'll just divest himself of a few particularly intoxicating pieces.

I hope the rest of us will listen to your advice. But I am not. 😁

Extremely rare Eterna Sonic (cal 1550) DiaStar by Rado today!

The case is made from Tungsten Carbide.
Tungsten carbide is approximately two times stiffer than steel and is much denser than steel or titanium.
It has a high melting point at 2870 °C and falls between 8.5 and 9.0 on Moh's hardness scale, making it almost as hard as diamond.
In order to polish or finish tungsten carbide, a diamond covered tool must be used because any other metal or mineral would not be able to withstand its hardness. Only a diamond is hard enough to be able to scratch Tungsten Carbide.
All in all a good reason why this one still looks brand new after 40 years!

I lost the game...its melting point is at 2700° C though looks cool on my wrist. By the way haven't seen it for a long time, except in the SF
