A happy wife, no vintage watch collecting strife....latest addition to my wife's burgeoning vintage collection just back from WM...1914 Hampden Molly Stark", 29mm diameter, powered by 400 calibre.
Totally subscribe to this theory. If you want buy-in for your obsession, bring them into the fold.
Valentine’s Day gift this year

And just got case seal and crown for upcoming birthday gift.

She has more Omega’s than I do.

So...a long, sometimes patient and oftentimes not-very-patient journey appears to have come to a rather Speedy conclusion. Forgive me from re-purposing a Loony Tunes image I used a while back (that watch was returned). This one, a mint 3570.50, has found its forever home. And wrist.

And so after 4 long months, I say: ‘Hi there, Speedy!!!’

Ordered a few new straps from watch gecko. Like the look of the mesh on the FOIS!

Nice combo. Which specific strap is this?

Always accurate - you could set your watch by it 😉

Hitched this one earlier to take a snap for another thread and couldn't be bothered taking it off, a lot of chuckles per £ i.m.h.o 😀

Being Dutch myself, adding this piece to my collection was merely appropriate.
Now the search for an original crown commences. Has somebody ever spotted one of these?

This week forked out all of £1.33p for a pair of Renata 371 cells (postage included) and decided to raise the Polaris from the dead.

Forgot how comfortable this watch is - especially compared to the Speedy I have been wearing recently.

Not everyone's cup of tea but has been with me since receiving on my 21st birthday - almost 30 years ago..
