Today I left Disco behind, put new shoes on Neil, and prepared for the harsh environment of the office cubicle with my trusty pre-moon: The strap is a matte black croc with off-white stitching. Looks fantastic! Now I need the same in brown...
Just found this GP last week. So Sweet! It has the UG 283 movement inside. I like the inner tach. Anybody know what the outer red numbers are for? It says mileage, but I don’t know how to calculate.
Nice. The red numbers are a telemeter ring. Mileage here means distance in miles covered by sound in the interim between the time you see an event and the time that you hear it. Useful for determining how far away the cannon are.
Like that's a bad thing? I wore a freshly-serviced old manual wind caliber 283 Omega one day last week. I wore a Speedy 125 Anniversary earlier this week. The two months before and the days since have all been one of the two Speedy pre-moon models I have in working condition (a third is in the shop for a refresher). I think I got da Speedy moon-fever BAD! Although I did enjoy the 125 and got lots of compliments on it (lots, like, three). Barking mad, you keep on wearing that Speedy '66 and I'll enjoy the picture every time!
I'm trying out my NOS Atlantic. I know it's not a DeLuxe, but it's stainless, NOS, 17 jewels, Swiss, and a brand you don't often see in Australia.
Yes, and the inner scale is your tachymetre with a base 1 mile which means you start the chrono when the vehicle passes the start of a measured mile and stop it when the vehilcle crosses the mile marker. The chrono hand will indicate the speed in MPH.
