pissing about on a holiday afternoon.... what to wear tomorrow... decisions, decisions, life can be so hard! every one a railroad piece, covering 1879 to 1948
Rummaging through the safe this afternoon and decided to pull out this travel alarm from 1944, reckon I could balance it on my wrist if I really tried
Please don't get me wrong and I don't want to be a fun brake... But this dial looks like a redial with something missing at 6 o'clock.
Resist-ance is futile... 48 year old Pogue (well, purists might argue - it's a 6139-6002 not a -6005 but it's near as dammit).
It is an older redial and not my fav but it cleaned up a lot over what it was. Nothing missing at 6. I originally thought so too till watchmaker I bought it from had me loupe it. I thought the dot was a hole and it had missing marker, just way it was reprinted. I'll keep an eye out for another dial or maybe have it done better but I have little in it and it is just for fun now. Hands are fantastic and match the markers. I suspect the later listed jumbo hands may be replaced but I dunno?
