I read here somewhere that it’s not cool to put a leather strap on a diver. So I am doing it all wrong? (PS: I don’t dive, and chances are neither do you).

It’s all up to you. I dive and wear a leather 3 ring Zulu on my SKX. And ordering an orange croc for my Orange Planet Ocean Chrono.

Thank you, Foo2rama - I am reassured!

The PO bracelet just got too damn heavy after several years. I switched to a plain black NATO for the past year or so (what a difference!), but recently got this really nice vintage Horween leather strap from B&R Bands.

Up until I got a new Hamilton Field Mechanical (and four Haveston straps) for Christmas, I have worn my Seamaster pretty much 24/7 since 2010, through thick and thin, as evidenced by the “patina” and bezel fade. It is still accurate to within 1 second/day and the lume lasts all night.

Morning brew with the most excellent 1943 Hamilton 992B

Odd... I'm sitting here enjoying my end of day double espresso with my faithful 992 ticking away in my pocket...

The 992 is the bottom center piece, the others are my 992B & 999B
