Went to the OB today wearing my Transitional. At the same time OB staff was taking out the on-loan 2915 to return to the factory, so I took advantage of the opportunity 😁

My latest illness continues. But, like the others, this too will pass.

At the Coney Island Aquarium. It was devestated by Hurricane Sandy back in 2011 but the rebuild, which is still in progress, is magnificent.

Speedy's are good in low lighting!

Seems that today is a great day to post a Speedmaster 321 in light of Omega announcing the rerelease of the Cal 321 😀

What am I wearing today? Well, more than one. These are two of 7 or 8 Accutrons I have added to the collection since Christmas. The one on the left is a 218 model with date and 24-hour Canadian railroad dial. The one on the right is a 214 model from 1962. The case is one not often seen. It is a karat gold shell over stainless steel. The case came to me with no movement, and was rough. Two badly bent lugs, one cracked. My goldsmith friend declined the repair of the cracked lug, so I came to my shop and warmed up my silversmithing talents and my acetylene torch, and fixed it myself. Last time I showed this (several days ago), it was on a leather strap. But I have since retrieved a period correct gold filled “scissor” type expansion bracelet from my stash, and I prefer it. The dial newer, and is not original to this case. The hands are period correct Accutron.

Ok, so I misrepresented the discard of the now passé 861 over on the 321 announcement thread.
