路Closing out the workweek w/ the Wakmann my 1st Vintage purchase from Colin aka @gophishin a member here. Still remember seeing it for the 1st time @ a local GTG. This 1 intrigued me as it had France on the dial where most say Swiss Made .

路Another much loved watch, also via eBay. Another improbable purchase that turned out better than expected.
Until you have it in hand, you never know how much a watch might actually mean to you once you live with it.
This -65, from Istanbul, required a new reset hammer, inner cover and back cover. When it arrived, the movement was loose in the case (!), the hands conflicted and it wouldn鈥檛 reset properly. Of course, none of which was disclosed by the seller.
But it鈥檚 proven well worth it. The movement was clean and undamaged; the dial, hands, pushers and crown were all correct and the case was reasonable. I love wearing it.
